Hey, just thought of something. It's a rather silly idea, but...
Our little white fluffy dog was extremely cute when he was little, so cute that *I* was actually the one who took my dad to see him in the store. So cute that my dad had to buy him even though we already had a dog. VERY VERY CUTE, in other words. He was pure brilliant white with perfectly round black eyes...a Maltese. (He might have something else in him but I think he's all Maltese.) He looked like a confection.
Anyway, my sister decided to name him Loki, as he looked like an impish little mischief. Dad and his brother, however, insisted that he looked like a 'Bill'. (Ridiculous. A dog that looks like candy-fluff can't possibly appear to be a Bill!)
Long story short, he wound up with the name Loki William George Winchester the Third. He really does get called Bill and Loki equally, and often Loki Bill. It's a dumb name. However, it did stick.
You can always give kitty multiple names and just primarily use the one you like best. Like...name him Arthur Von Kumo. Sounds a bit like a vampire, but hey! Cats can pull of a vampire name :)
