Argh...I'm sorry!  All my entries are kitty entries!  I have to apologize...he's a new guy.  I'll get over it soon.

Sleepy Kumo.  He loves the futon sofa.

Greg took this picture...

Kumo in the birdhouse perch.  I'm SO glad he's using it, because I bought it thinking Dinah would love it...only she can't fit her fat butt through the opening!  It's been sitting ignored for 5 months.  I was just about to give it to my mom (her cat is skinny & likes perches).

Hangin' out in the cat room.  His tabby pattern is called "classic blotch" (I looked it up in my cat book), which looks like giant thick swirls on his sides.  The pet store people thought he might be a tortoiseshell, but the are wrong.  Wrong!  I know 'cause I've always wanted a classic tabby (& now I have him!).

Aww!

Charlotte took the "sleepy kitty" pictures.  She freaking LOVES the little guy.

He's running around the majority of our downstairs area right now.  I thought I'd give him a little more freedom.  Kiba's outside...I'm still avoiding dog drama.

Later today we're going to see the vet.  I think his patchy fur is nervous grooming, but the dullness & the kittysquirts (thank GOD for clumping litter!  'Nuff said) are probably worms.  Eww.  Treatments are much simpler now.  No big deal

*sigh*  All the money I had saved for my Vegas trip later this week is GONE.  *shrug*  Oh well.  Kumo is cuter than a slot machine any old day.

Edit:

OMG someone STOP me.  He just crawled into his toy basket...

As of right now he's actually sleeping in it.  *DED FROM CUTE*

I don't know what patterns there are but I had a BEAUTIFUL long-haired cat the colour of orange marmalade, and she (and her son) had PERFECT wobbly bullseye patterns on their sides. Rings inside rings, on fur that trailed down nearly to the ground. The rings were dark orange and the regular fur was light orange. Very pretty.

My kitten aura was orange too, and she had a dark orange M in her fur, right over her eyebrows, it was funny :)

I swear that kitten was only masquerading, though...she was actually a puppy. She would NOT stop licking me and climbing on me and wanting to be ON ME every single second! Jeepers, I need space!

That's EXACTLY what the classic tabby pattern looks like; swirly rings inside of rings. Of course, Kumo is no show cat so his rings are a little broken, but I've seen some classic tabbies that look just like the ones you had. They are considered VERY valuable when their markings are that clear.

The "M" (sometimes a "W") is absolutely neccessary for any tabby. :-)
