Just a quickie because HOLY CRAP I am busy.  My Etsy site has exploded with orders.  Four in the last twelve hours...6 items.  That's just crazy!    I have to get to work & make more dragon keychains...more everything really.  Everything is selling, big masks too.  I'm going to have to buy more leather.  Stressed, but like my brother says; these are the kind of problems you WANT to have.

Also, re: Inuyasha manga.  Woo.  Sesshoumaru...dude.  You're never cuter than when you're worried about Rin.  It looks like the story is actually wrapping up.  I can hardly believe it!  The whole thing when IY left Shippo behind...that was incredibly sweet.  Poor little Shippo.  If this is the end, I hope that's not the last we see of him.

Okay, back to work.  I have boxes to mail & things to make!

People are just getting on the border of late if they want these for Xmas gifts. Depending on where they are from. Mail is slower and more apt to get lost this time of year...I wouldn't feel comfy ordering any later than the beginning of January.

I'm almost positive I want a purple dragon keychain, I'm just looking for feedback from my friend to be sure that the person it is intended for would like it. If you still have them on your Etsy site in about two weeks, but not in the colour I want, what should I do? 'Buy' whatever colour you have then add a note saying which colour I actually *want*?

I know...it's nuts! I don't know why it suddenly got so busy. Thanksgiving night, no less.

Everything will make it in plenty of time...Priority mail (domestic) still only takes 3 days or so to arrive. The international shipping is dicier. International first class Air takes probably more like two weeks, but there's still plenty of time for holiday gifts to arrive.

I'm being real good about re-stocking. If it's listed on my site then I actually have the piece ready to send. I'll try to keep all the colors in stock (though the purple dragons with green eyes are going to run out soon because I'm all out of green crackle glass beads. I have plenty of amber glass though & I might eventually use some nice 8mm green faceted Czech glass that I have).

I ordered some clips over two weeks ago and they still aren't here, and all my other Etsy packages except the ones from Italy, weirdly enough, have all taken about two weeks. This one is currently at...*checks*...holy, yeah, it's been JUST over three weeks now. The mail from the US to Canada has been INCREDIBLY slow, but oddly the mail from Canada to the States continues at pretty much the same rate.

I am pretty damn pleased with Etsy right now. I only wish I'd tried it sooner. It's an awesome venue for me, really. I did my numbers & this ONE site has replaced all my "little" shows that I'd normally have been doing.

I'm going to be really sad when the manga is finished, though. I have to say, even though she rambled a LOT (& honestly, I bet a lot of that was her agent & publishers & whatnot wanting to flog that cash cow for all it was worth), still, this is the most dramatic ending I think I've EVER seen for one of R.T.'s series. So much still has to be resolved. Sesshoumaru has become such a huge player in all this & I think that's so cool...his relationship with Rin & IY have changed so much & so has he.

I'm a little cheesed at her being so lax about her storytelling though...did you catch it last week when Kagome came back through the well alone? With NO shard? & no IY to help her? How did THAT happen? *shakes head* That was just sloppy. That'll lessen the drama & finality of whatever choice she has to make, once this whole final battle is through. If she can still travel back & forth through the well any time she pleases without the jewel or IY, then who cares what choice she makes? She can always visit friends in the past or family in the future, with no big repercussions. Sheesh.

Wow. That's really impressive!

I'm not sure if it's agent and publishers pushing her to keep fillering, or if it's her own reluctance to let go of the characters and the story. I mean, really....you have to figure that if IY is in it's 11th year as a published manga, she's probably been living with these characters for 15 or so years. That can't be an easy thing to say goodbye to.

She's been sloppy off and on for a while now. Wasn't it toward the end of the anime that she was travelling through the well without shards or IY? I remember thinking about that at some point a while back - though I'll be interested to see what she does (and heaven help her if she just leaves it wide open, with no decision made. It's one thing to have an ending like Chrono Crusade that's wide open to interpretation, and yet so absolutely defined, there's really no questioning what happened... Unlike Ranma that was left WIDE OPEN. If she leaves this with no resolution, there will be a riot....at least among us still dedicated fangirls. XD)

I'm really interested in where she's taking this though. I'm happy to see she's brought Sess in as such a major player at this point. I really hope she just doesn't trip at the finish line.

Just to add to your work-brain...I had another idea for you. I saw some leather pillows and couches, and I was musing how you could do the deep set buttons in butterflies, beetles, and other designs you already use. I'm not sure if it would sell, but it was an idea I thought you might get a giggle out of...

hmm...if I could find a manufacturer of fine furniture who wanted detail work/piece work, it'd certainly be worth a thought. Unfortunately, stuff like that is so often made in 3rd world countries by artisans who work for pennies a day...I can hardly compete.

I AM thinking about koi pins though. Those would be so cute & I love making tiny fishies. :-)
