I guess I was getting freaked out by the timetable I thought I had to keep. Everything I read & heard said recovery happens in a week, & I was alarmed at the amount of pain & swelling. I usually heal so fast, but I AM 42 and it's just possible that I don't heal like I used to (I went cross-country skiing two weeks after the major abdominal surgery that split me from hip to hip...but I was 21 at the time).
Anyway I feel almost like myself. I'm still a bit slow & sore, but the bruises are starting to turn a lovely shade of yellowy-green and I can see my toes again...good signs! By Monday I'll prolly be fine.
I cancelled that appointment. They are SO overbooked right now, & I'm seriously doing just great. If I get really painful again, my doc said to call right away & I have his cell phone number.
I think I have a little crush on my doc! *sheepish* He's been so nice to me. ^__^
