Okay, first of all I have to say that
moonphased is a sweetie. She completely surprised me today by sending me the coolest thing; an Inuyasha omamori! It's a Shinto charm...a little silk bag with a sutra sealed inside. Now, I've seen omamori before, but never an IY omamori which is SO COOL because that is almost certainly something I could never find at any anime store in this country. It has a place of honor in my purse now, because I need all the good luck I can get! *smooch* Thank you, dear. :-) By the way, Kuro folds the teeniest little origami crane I've ever seen...it's perfect! I can make a crane that small, but it always gets messed up and the beak ends up looking more like a duck bill. Hers is flawless.
So! Nerdgirl Okami fan art.

And of course, Waka. Because he's the gods' gift to mankind, y'know.

Heh. Just a few silly sketches I did this afternoon while i was killing time waiting for stuff to load onto my freaking computer. Every time I see one of those happy fun Time Warner cable commercials I want to put my fist through the TV set. >:-(
Back to work! I have a bunch of orders to make and I've procrastinated long enough.

(Anonymous) 2006-11-02 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)I heard bad things on the weather channel this morning - is it snowing up there again? I have to admit that my main focus was ignoring my alarm, so I wasn't paying attention. Forty-five minutes late this morning - no lunch hour for me!
Of course I'll do the poem up for you! I'll warn you right now that the layout is going to be non-standard frame size weirdness. It has to be if it's going to be right. Now what to use for a script...
Bob's brewing is coming under control - half the shelving is set up, and the carboys are now residing in a vertical layout again. Which means that floor has been exposed. Which means that I can move *my* junk that needs sorting onto that floor. Which will read directly to getting the library sorted out. Allowing me to letter, AND exposing the futon that will allow us to have guests stay! Woo hoo! If I can move some of that stuff tonight, the boxes of books in the living room can move into the library, and maybe within the next week we'll have the computer set up again. Thank goodness for the connection at work.
I really want to get that area set up - I've got cool things that I want to letter for you, and right now my drawing board isn't even visible!
Rainy and gloomy outside. Yech.

Haha! :-) I'm almost done with everything. I made sure to get the big things and the masks done right away, but I always save the belts for last because I HATE them...grr!
"is it snowing up there again?"
Yeah, it's sort of spitting snow right now, but nothing too bad right here where we live. It's all south of us in "ski country", where it belongs. Lake snow usually ends up there...that's why that storm three weeks ago was such a freak occurance.
Re: lettering project: Ooo! I can't wait to see what you'll come up with. Take your time of course...I know I'm asking for a favor, but I just knew you could do something awesome. That poem's too cool to exist only in cyberspace...I want it on my wall. :-)
