I told my brother I've been buying a new wardrobe for my triumphant return to Japan...he made me laugh by calling me a "Harajuku Girl" (his term for the adorable girls who wear knee-high boots with cute sassy skirts...they're everywhere in Tokyo).
So yeah...

Harajuku boots!
I am looking at my Harajuku boots...

I'm much cooler with my sunglasses on...

A funny observation I made while in Tokyo; no one seems to wear sunglasses. I mean NO ONE. Even at Sasuke, where it was really sunny all day, no one wore sunglasses. The only people I saw wearing sunglasses were gaijin (like me) or very elderly people, & not many of them.
I can't imagine why but my educated guess is that it has a lot to do with the highly evolved societal customs of the culture. Eye contact is uber-important in Japan. I noticed people would frown & peer at me, when I spoke to them, until I removed the glasses (& then they'd smile).
Here is my shiny new hair...

I love it! Tracy outdid herself.
All I need is my manicure & I'm ready for Japan!!
