Black is a necessary evil. It sets off other colours and it's slimming and the most available in just about all articles of clothing. My own boots ARE black...and yeah, I wore them with my purple geometric dress in that picture. (Blue and purple are my most flattering colours, second only to brilliant cyan...let's face it. I'm a [*sob*]...winter.) It's the shiny vinyl look that reeeeeaaally turns me off. I have no objection to looking sexy, but I sure as heck object to looking cheap. -_-
But boots are pretty great overall. I must have heels on everything, though. Seems funny that you, half a foot shorter than me, probably go without heels regularly, whereas I tend to wear heels all the time (unless I'm wearing runners or no shoes at all, which IS the most common for me).
I kind of knew what sort of answer I'd get even before I started, because what I thought when going into the test was 'I don't care what kind of boots they are as long as they make my legs look great'. I like the way heeled boots make a woman walk with a feminine sort of aggression. ♥
