Back!

( Feb. 12th, 2007 04:10 pm)
Woo, we're back home and just in time too, as a really HUGE snowstorm is chasing across the upper Midwest right now.

Army Of Anyone was completely awesome Friday night.  They seemed really happy to be playing at such a tiny venue, and in Detroit nontheless.  The place was itty-bitty...I'd be surprised if there were 500 people there (but it was packed just the same, just a very very small hall), and the band was having a GREAT time.   They did three Filter songs and three Stone Temple Pilots songs, and the rest was stuff off their new album.  To tell the truth, I really like STP and I really like Filter, but I LOVE Army Of Anyone.  They're just a great combination of songwriting strengths & talent.  I hope they stay together.  They seemed awfully happy to be playing together (and I guess, looking at the drug-inflicted histories of their former bands, they must be glad just to be playing with musicians who are "clean" & have their heads screwed on tightly).

All in all, a ton of fun.

The event Saturday went very very well.  I have a LOT of work to do now, as I sold about half my stock.  You know, it's fun to do an event when you're SO full of confidence & excitement for the direction your work is heading.  It's like people can smell it, or something.

It was an exhausting weekend, though.  I'm glad to be home.

To everyone who's been seeing Oswego NY in the news and worrying about me, I'M OK!  :-)   Oswego is to the east of me.  We have had a ton of snow, but nothing like the 12 feet they got over the last week.  This new storm that's headed this way, though, may dump up to a foot on all of us.  So yeah, I'm fine but you'd better believe I went to the grocery store today and bought everything I'll need for the next week.

Let me know if anything important or earth-shattering (or just funny) happened to any of you.  I've been out of touch!
