Well, I finished the Fire Dragon in spite of suffering from the freaking PLAGUE, which sapped my will to live but somehow spared my will to create. It took a while, though. *shrug* That's ok...I don't have anything looming on my horizon so there's no need to rush.
Fire Dragon!
It's basically exactly the same as the Frost Dragon, I just lengthened the nose fuzz a little to give it more drama.
I've done this design three times now and it was much easier this time around. I'm really getting the hang of it. I'm thinking of doing some more of these elaborate masks (a really elaborate Kirin, with a forked horn and all kinds of added-on mane & beard), but alas, I REALLY ought to re-stock all of the mid-range stuff I sold at I-Con. I don't have any half-masks left, no Amaterasu (those sold RIGHT away...I knew they would), and only one arm dragon. Not to mention dozens of barrettes.
*sigh* I wish I was better at striking a balance between what I WANT to do and what I HAVE to do...but I'm just no good at it. When I see something that has to be done, it just crawls under my skin and tortures me until I freaking DO it already. I recognize that about myself, so I've gotten into the habit of just doing these things as soon as I identify the need (rather than torturing myself)...but I still reserve the right to bitch about it.
Lol...isn't it funny to resent one's own work ethic?? That's hilarious and pathetic at the same time. *shakes head*
In other news, I still feel like crap. Whatever I got (I think maybe the flu, since it hit like a ton of bricks and it's taking days to go completely away) has really done a number on me. I think the horrible sore throat I had was an entirely separate issue, because Greg has the fever & aches & chills & sinus thing...but no burny throat. Poor Greg...he's been home from work for two days now. Men are not good sick-people, though I bought him God Of War 2 and whenever he gets really frustrated, he just has Kratos rip the arms off some poor Spartan and that seems to do the trick. Laughter may be the best medicine, but killing something with pain is apparently a close second.
BIG thunderstorms are likely tonight. I'm kind of looking forward to them. BOOM!
