Okay, so, next week I'm going to San Francisco because my brother in law is getting married, see?   The wedding is on a boat, somewhat formal, & most of the family seems to have retro-engineered their dresses from Costa Rica to be tea-length.   I took my blue bridesmaid dress in to David's Bridal, for a rush-job alteration.

Blood+ is on Adult Swim...they started re-airing the entire series last night.  Once you've seen the whole story, the beginning is twice as poignant.  I love a story that can twist your heart up like that.  Cowboy Bebop & Wolf's Rain do that to me too.

Today during my bike ride I saw something I've only ever seen once before.  I passed a field full of Canada geese.  There were hundreds of them.  They weren't making any noise at all...they were just walking slowly, heads raised on long necks, looking south.  The whole field of geese were silently pacing south, as if they could hear something calling them.  It was beautiful & eerie, and I watched them for ten minutes or so as they crossed the field.  Then, just before the tree line, they suddenly exploded into the air as if they'd all received a cue at the same instant.  Somehow the whole mass rose into the air without any collisions (a miracle, there were hundreds of them), arranged themselves into phalanxes, and arrowed south.  I wished I could go with them.  I guess Summer is ending.
