Well, what a perfectly boring weekend I just had!  I did nothing remarkable (unless you consider making masks remarkable...) & went nowhere.  Nowhere at all.  Greg & I went grocery shopping on Monday.  That was my big outing.

Charlotte has a more exciting life than I do.  At least she went to see a movie (Cloverfield).  It sounds terribly interesting & I really want to see it too.

Tuesday will be busy, anyway.  Full of doctors' appointments for me & Char.  Oh, & Tracy is going to re-color my hair.  That'll be something to look forward to I hope...I'm a little nervous now & also I feel guilty for making a fuss.

Good news; I did find more leather to work with.  It was all the way at the bottom of my box.  It's nice stuff though & I already started a bunch of masks including a couple of wolves.  I think I'll make a Blue Moon Wolf...I love doing those.  I also finished a new little mask.  It's another black & white checkered mask, but this time I carved a red rose on it.  I'm going to call it "Harlequin Romance" , with thanks to [personal profile] kls_eloise for giving me the idea.

I also made a lot of the items for Charlotte's fundraiser.  Many tiny kitsune mask keychains & many many tiny Japanese wave keychains.  When I open that section I want to have many multiples of everything, just 'cause I'm hoping it'll be busy.  I'm going to ask all of you for a little help; links in your journals to that section of my shop.   I think with your help I'll be able to get the word out faster, you know?  Anyway, I'm planning to open it SOON, probably a few days.  I hope it'll do well.  *keeping fingers crossed*

A final note; I think the Japanese shakuhachi flute is just about the sexiest-sounding instrument there is, seriously.  It's so soulful & breathy.  It's all over the Okami soundtrack, & I've been keeping an ear out for it in other music & finding it everywhere.  Also!  An interesting factoid:  one of the cool things about the shakuhachi is that you can "bend" the notes by adjusting the angle of the hole while blowing across it.  This technique is called "meri".   That makes me very happy.  ^___^
