*sigh* Someone put a link on her blog to my Etsy site. Which is nice! Oddly enough...she seems to think I'm a guy.
I don't have the heart to correct her (& really, what difference does it make anyway?)...but it made me wonder. WHY would she think I'm a dude? Do I come across sounding masculine? My profile clearly states "female". Does my art look like something a manly man might make? Oddly enough, that idea almost appeals to me. My art has balls!
*ahem* Anyway.
I've been very very busy all weekend...all week really. The masks I cut out when the leather got here on Thursday are ALL done...I'm so proud of myself. Of course I hardly slept but, y'know, the almighty dollar is a powerful motivator (not to mention it was just fun to have that whole lovely expanse of leather to work with).
I finished a new Red Ribbon Sun & Moon mask for
ramblinsuze. I hope she doesn't mind but I took some liberties & I LOVE the changes I made...they take the mask from "Hmm" to "Wow". They're just little changes but somehow they make a big difference. Pics Monday, most likely.
Saturday night, Greg took us to Canada for a night at the big new Fallsview Casino. I'm glad 'cause I needed a break from all the working. Plus, it was nice to get dressed up & put on some makeup (I used all of
golden_meliades tips & you know...I looked pretty darn good)...for the first time in a while I actually felt pretty. No, we didn't make a ton of money (the Casino is not a bank or a charity), but we had fun & I had little winning streaks all night which meant I coasted along on one twenty dollar bill for the entire night. At one point I had almost 200 dollars! But *shrug* it was all electronic & the video slots stole almost all of it back. I walked away with thirty in my pocket, which I consider a small victory.
All kinds of things to talk about, but no energy. *yawn* I better get to bed. Superbowl Sunday is here. I'm in the minority because I want New England to win. I want to see if they can actually have a perfect season.
