Oh boy!  In just forty-eight hours I'll be in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.  Doing...whatever the hell one does in Tamarindo.  Surfing, I'm told.  Looking at monkeys.  Avoiding the drinking water.

My passport photo is quite possibly the ugliest picture I've ever seen of myself.  I look like a cheerful bag lady.

The wedding coordinator kindly sent everyone a helpful e-mail about what to expect in Costa Rica...and it scared the crap out of me, just a little.  Apparently there are active volcanoes all over the place.  Also, it's just 9 degrees north of the equator...I'm going to roast.  Probably should have thought about taking malaria pills too (to late now).  But, this part is cool:  Playa Langosta (near Tamarindo) – white sand beach with blue Pacific waters and fantastic sunsets.  That's the beach we're on.  So that part sounds simply lovely.  I think I'll just be on the beach all day, thank you.

These are the pictures of my most recent masks.  The designs aren't really new...I've done them all before.  I just found some wonderful new acrylic paints that are SO vibrant, and I mixed a few new shades of green on these which really make them pop.

And this is my newer Green Man design.  This pic turned out a little too bright...but the tones are dead on.  It's GREEN.

 That's about it for now.  I'm done makin' stuff until I return from the trip.  I hardly know what to do with myself tonight...   I know!  I'll write some fanfic!  *clubs self like a wayward baby seal*  ...on second thought...naaaah.  ;-)

Yay! Thank ya! :-) I'm not crazy about big weddings...but I LOVE the ocean and I've never seen the Pacific, so that part's going to be awesome.

What does one do in Costa Rica? I told you! Jump into the water with that bridesmaid gown and wait for a pirate to rescue you! ...oh wait, that's what I would do.

Oh gawd, that joke. XD I've been playing KH2 a little too much. Because wow, I had not trouble visualizing that at all.

That's the fun part...it's NOT your mask! Hee! :-)

I draw them freehand each time, just to keep things fresh, so each one is an original. If you compare yours to that pic you'll see the differences. Besides I made yours a bit more elaborate and made a curlicue tendril on one side...it was so much fun to make. :-) I just thought the ivy would be perfect for you.
