Closing etc.

Just keep in mind that everyone and their cousin closes at the end of the month, so try to keep a day or two off of it so that the necessary people are all available. And *don't* close on a Friday or a Monday if you can avoid it.

The house is kicking my butt - I've lost five or so pounds, and I'm so sleep deprived that my co-workers aren't even telling me how bad I look anymore. They're just not saying anything. I'm here in my cube from 8 to 5, then I drive to Burlington and we work on the house until about 11:00pm, drive home, catch something packaged for dinner and fall into bed after midnight. Then repeat. Every workday since September 1. The weekends are worse. I'll send you all the gory details when I have some time. Painting and moving during the same month as corporate fiscal year-end was a BAD choice. I came back from Pennsic behind on the departmental billing, and it's only gotten worse. But anything that isn't in the hands of the mouse's accountants by Thursday will be charged against an accrual account and can be done in a more leisurely fashion. Ya know, if I'd wanted to be an accountant...

Lots of small demolition, lots and lots and lots of painting, some light wallpaper stripping, more painting, and now we can start moving. Only ten more days until the lease is up...

Think strong thoughts towards Connecticut - I'm going to fall down like a marionette with the strings cut when this is all over.
