Okay!  Just a quick post because HEH!  I am entirely infatuated with my Okami game.

News!:  I am now no longer using dail-up.  We got our high-speed cable hooked up on Friday.  I'm utterly freaked by it all.  I mean, I had some seriously ingrained coping mechanisms for all the waiting around I used to do.   Now it's "click, BOOM" you're there and listening to music or downloading stuff or heck just loading my friend's page takes NO time at all.  Wow.  Freaky.

I am sick.  I caught the cold that everyone has been nursing all week in this house.  They're all better...I feel like I'm going to die.  Fever, itchy goopy throat.  My eyes sting and my nose is just fine except for when it isn't.   Waah.  :-(  I completely missed my friend's wedding which BITES because she's a great person and I had the prettiest outfit to wear...but I thought if I gave everyone my cold they wouldn't appreciate it so I'm utterly housebound.  Which was okay because; see below.

Okami is an evil evil game.  I've had it since Thursday and I've already played over 20 hours of it.  I would say I have no life...

...except I do.  Greg took me to the home opener for the Sabres last night.  The HSBC (Hot sauce blue cheese..heh.  It's a terribly local joke see, 'cause this is Buffalo and here you get your chicken wings with the hot sauce and blue ch...I'll shut up now.)...Anyway the HSBC arena was totally sold out but Greg got us killer seats in the Club level and we had our own waitress!! bring us burgers and beer which I thought was just fine.  :-)  And OMG what a game!  The Montreal Canadiens were awesome and we were down 4 to 2 with less than four minutes in the last period...and we scored!  The place went nuts.   And then with just 15 seconds left in the game we TIED.   The noise was unbelievable.  We went to overtime, no one scored so it went to a shoot off and OMG we won.  Everyone screamed their fool heads off and it was altogether great.

I don't get hockey ettiquette though.  *frown*  It seems that it's accepted form to BOO loudly any action taken by the visiting team.  That includes the act of skating out onto the ice.  I understand cheering when your team scores or has an exceptionally good save...but I do NOT think it's ok to boo the other team just 'cause they scored.  That's dumb.  And rude.

Also, the guy behind us was a drunk ass who cheerfully sang paeans to his own testicles at the top of his lungs.  His chippie beery girl companions guffawed as if he was the wittiest guy they'd ever heard...and sadly this was probably true.   Though you never know...a woman of average intelligence might put up with a lot of goofyness to score seats in the club level...but I hafta say that I'd draw the line at testicle songs.  It was, y'know...weird.   I'll never understand the male fascination with their own body parts and personal gas.  *sigh*  I mean really.  Just...Ugh.

Still and all, great fun!   Now if only I can shake this cold and find my way through the Moon Palace everything will be just perfect.  :-)
