My cable hookup is delicious!
Yay! Back online via high speed cable. Thank you Time warner dude for not charging us for dog damage. It seems the squirrels DID have a go at the cable as well. I know Kiba is a bit of an acrobat, but he certainly didn't chew the cable waaaay up on the pole where it connects to the main line. Little gray bastards. *mutter mutter*
Also, a big *hug* to
rumdiculous...who is such a good friend (she's had computer problems and I miss her terribly!!), she sent me a beautiful watercolor painting (I have to scan it!!) and a jar of wonderful jam that I suspect she made herself...how sweet! I had some on a bagel this morning and it was SO good.
Really, everyone on my f-list has been so generous to remember me on my birthday. I'm at the age where I'm starting to resent the annual intrusion of reality into my youthful fantasy (seriously...I look in the mirror sometimes and think "Holy crap what is happening to my freaking EYES??" Don't even get me started on my boobs. They're going all "National Geographic" on me and it's heartbreaking.), but this year was so joyful and full of surprises. You are all wonderful. :-)
And! I've been busy making stuff just for the sake of being busy making stuff. Boredom is sometimes a great motivation. I screwed up on a wolf that was supposed to be gray (I spilled blue dye on it...heh) so I just said "Hell, let's make a blue wolf!" And so it was done.

I might put it on E-bay, just to see what people think. I kind of like it! I want to do a red one now.
It's freakishly warm and nice outside today. October was such a monumentally CRAPPY month, weather-wise, that I hardly went out on my bike at all. I think I'll go out today, even though the trees are bare and sad. We were robbed of our normally beautiful Autumn, I tell you. Robbed!

By the way, if you're interested in *anything* you see here in my LJ, just e-mail me (merimask at aol dot com). I put all kinds of stuff in here that's one-of-a-kind or unavailable on my website (like my Okami masks). I'll even give you an LJ discount. :-)

I'm at work. sanity is not an option.
I'm very clumsy, what can I say?
Still, glad you're having such nice weather, here in OK we're getting killed, with 80* in the day and dropping to 40* at night, and then switch those the next day.
As always, your masks make me squee with delight deep inside. For we all know fat men have a squeeing child deep inside them.
....baby back ribs, bar-b-que sause!
Re: I'm at work. sanity is not an option.
Weather-wise...ugh. After three feet of snow, 55 degrees seems balmy I guess. It wasn't warm on the bike though...brrr.
Glad you like the mask. I think I'm going to do more wolves in funky colors (because it breaks up the monotony and it's fun!)
Re: I'm at work. sanity is not an option.
Rainbow Wolves shown seperatly, comes with everything you see here, offer voice in DE, NV, and Atlantis.

As for birthdays (I opened up a new window so I could stare AND finish replying :P), I kinda wonder how I'm gonna feel about the when I'm, what are you? Theirty-something? Cuz my boobs aren't nearly big enough to ever sag and my hair's ALREADY turning white, so I don't know if I'll even notice :P

Haha! *smooch* I love you! Thirty-something, you say? Okay, I know we women aren't supposed to discuss our age BUT...do you see this person? Yep, 41. *sigh*

And wow to the blue wolf! I love it.

I like the blue wolf too. :-) I need to do more masks in bright colors. People like black 'cause it's sexy...but black gets so boring.

I dunnp....huskies can do amazing things....maybe he DID learn to climb to get that extra chomp in there... ;D
It was freakishly warm here Monday and Tuesday....Monday morning, I got up, checked the weather online.... high of 65....but it was 66 outside at 6:30! And humid as all get out. It's amazing we didn't have some major thunderstorms (though I was told that Springfield next door had an entire city-wide power outage yesterday due to the rain...I know there were some lightning strikes in the area...good ol' power surges...) Today was a little back to normal, but I tell you, I was scraping ICE off my windshield last week!!

I think we got your warm weather...it traveled from West to East. We're going to have snow on Saturday though, so it's a fleeting thing. *pout* HATE winter, hate the short days, hate being cold all the time...grr grr grr! I'm looking forward to the California trip, if only to warm up briefly.

....squirrel problems? tee hee Nah, those little critters cause all sorts of problems.
Well I'm back off to the land of no computers for now. :( Dell is still giving me the big screw.

I was so happy when I saw your packages in the mail, though. :-) That was really sweet of you, & I love the painting ('cause, y'know, favorite IY moment so far! Well, tied maybe with the Sess + Rin stuff from a couple months ago, but you get the point). I want to put a scan of it up in here, but I want to give you dibbs (because it's your painting and you get first bragging rights!) so I'll wait until you're back online. I'll e-mail a scan of it to you, ok? And I'll make a print too...you should really have your own copy.
*smooch* What kind of jam is that, by the way? It's good!

My computer should be back by Monday given Dell doesn't try to pick on me anymore. It's been redamndiculous.

Shake a pointy stick at birthdays woes, lady! Let me just say that when we hung out, age was never on the mind when it's just cool chickies wanting to hang out and have a splendid time together. For serious, you're one of the greatest people to be friends with, and it only increases tenfold when it's in person. You're vibrant, hilarious, SO happy, knowledgeable and you have this great enthusiasm for life that's infectious I tells ya, infectious! *glomps* You're too awesome. ^___^

Aww! :-) You're too sweet. I wish we didn't live so far from each other, 'cause I would SO hang out with you. We're kindred spirits, I think.
