MIL again -- How do I get one of those identity thingees so I don't have to keep using MIL?
Of course you loved my city! I am glad to see Kat and Griffin (Griffith?) got home okay. Cute kids, though lip rings are not my thing. Next time Andrea travels out our way, we can drive down to see you, Kat. I want Andrea to see Carmel, of course, and Cambria which is my favorite artist haven. I can introduce her to Heriononim (Hell, I can't spell it but he's Harry Wysocki using the Latin for Harry)who has his own gallery in that little seaside town. Speaking of galleries, Andrea convinced me to buy a Guy Buffet original oil. I have only purchased serigraphs before: Wysocki, McGehee, Patrick, Buffet and of course Delacroix. This was exciting and scary at the same time.
For those of you who know San Francisco, the guy at Lahaina Galleries recommended GUMPs. Object art, Asian flavor, very pricey. On Union Square. Very chic - chic. But if Andrea wants a place like Gump's she needs to resolve the "one of a kind" fine art vs. "limited edition" fine art dilemma. And solving that is something only she can do.
Good to hear that John jumped on the "Andrea Takes A Leap" bandwagon. I knew he would! I love John who is very talented and funny. He recited a special piece of poetry for Andrea and Greg's wedding that he composed and illustrated on the back of an old envelope while hung-over from the wedding festivities the night before and waiting for his breakfast. A sample of the verse: "And it truly is amazing how they formed a bond so strong ... Since her temper's way too short and his hair is way too long ..." HA HA HA.
