I had decided to stop making LJ entries until I had something good to talk about. So now...
The mailings? Are WORKING! Wooot!
I did my first call-back today. Call-backs are really scary 'cause that's make-or-break time where you see if your mailings were effective or if you don't have a chance in hell. I figured the packet that went out on Monday should have arrived yesterday, so I called Gettysburg & the owner ordered a huge fat load of masks! So YAY! I caught her right before a buying trip so she said she was being frugal...but it seemed like a GREAT order to me.
She was very impressed with my mailing. She said the order sheet was easy to understand and the pictures were amazing (she wanted one of everything really, she said). It pays to be organized, I guess. She told me to expect a lot of repeat business from her. :-D
*happy dance*
Monday, her order goes out & I'll do the call-back for New Orleans. I don't know how that'll go (it was a bit more of a hoity-toity shop so...you never know), but I feel a LOT better about my prospects now than I did at the beginning of the week. Perhaps I'll remain a mask artist after all ("f*** you, WalMart!").
AND! I've officially lost 25 pounds this month. Things are looking up!
