Last time I checked he just gave up and left. I think he told Kagome, "Well if you DO happen to change your mind, hit me up" or some b.s. I was so upset that he left so...abruptly. It was nice having him stick around the group and I got all excited because I thought that maybe that all important ending was coming up and everyone was going to do some Naraku-ass-kickery. But no. Weapon upgrade got in the way.
