Before I launch into my latest health-related woe, have a look at what I finished last night;

I made a bunch of these tiny luna moth pins.  They're very cute & wee.  I put them up on Etsy already.

So here's what's going on; I think something's gone wrong with my surgery.  I didn't really notice until yesterday, because that was the first day I tried to go without meds, but I'm in way too much pain considering how much time has passed since the procedure.  I had it last Friday (six days ago, now) & the pain is actually getting worse instead of better.   Also, I'm very bloated.  Also, there's a lot of really dark bruising.  He did remark on the bruising yesterday.  After I got home & finally broke down & took the darvo (remember?), it only helped for a little while & then the pain came back even worse overnight.

I called the doc's office...it figures he's in surgery all day, so the soonest they can see me is tomorrow morning.  Until then I'm taking the rest of the darvocet & sleeping, & hoping it doesn't get any worse.  If it does I'm just going to the ER, because at this point I'm starting to get scared.

EDIT...Okay, I really didn't mean to make anyone worry.  :-)  The thing is I KNOW if I go to the ER they'll laugh at me.  I don't have a fever, my gums are pink, my tummy is swollen but not hard (just puffy)...so it doesn't seem to be an infection or internal bleeding.  I fear it's more like nerve damage or maybe some small damage that's not catastrophic but definitely needs to be checked.  So, tomorrow I'll get an exam & maybe a sonogram & then I'll have a better idea of what's happening.  In the meantime, pain meds (I hope they last).  Kris, thanks for calling hon.  Nancy, I love you DO NOT CALL MOM!  She'll just freak out & I don't want her to freak out (she makes things worse).

Umm...I sold a wolf on Etsy.  THAT's good news, right?  :-)

Andrea - this is your logic speaking. Call them back NOW and tell them exactly what you just typed - including that it's scaring you. Ask if there is anyone else there who can see you Right Now. If not, ask if you should go to the ER. Bloated, bruising, pain - these are red flags.

Do not screw around with this, do not be a hero.

What Kls-Elois said--I'd call them back, because it could be serious. Bloating and bruising could mean internal bleeding, and if so they'll need to do something asap. Better to have it checked out promptly.

I agree. I'd already thought, when you said how much pain you were in, that something was up, because I figure you, like me, have a considerable tolerance for pain, and tubal ligation is supposed to be a breeze...some people don't even need pain meds for it.

If you ARE scared, go back right away. If you think it can wait until tomorrow, you can probably rely on your sense and intuition to be right.

Hey... Seester here. I agree. When we talked last night. I was surprised you were still in so much pain. I've had three, count em, THREE of the procedures and I always felt better after the stitches were gone. Not worse.
I'm telling Mom... and I mean that in the most loving way possible.

Since I yelled at you in person on the phone and you made me feel better, I'll comment on the rest.

I forgot to mention how much I love the detail on the luna moth - the fuzzy antennae are required, but I love the fuzzy little body also!

And it's great that you sold a wolf! If you keep doing this well on Etsy, you're going to stop leaving the house altogether and we'll never see you again! Then what will I do for my sanity checks in August?

Okay - that was me. Somehow I wasn't logged in...

Livejournal and the work system don't always play nice with each other...

Cute little moths. But omg are you ok??? *meeps* That's what I hate about surgeries. The healing part takes forever. *hugs*

I hope that she's doing alright and that the reason that her journal is quiet is that she's getting it taken care of or something like that.

I hope she's able to drop in after she's the doctor and let us know how she's doing, though I'll understand if she's too sore/tired/drugged to do so. But now I'm worried. I hope that there's nothing seriously wrong and that either she's just having a slow recovery or that it was something easy to fix.

I'm just gonna echo what the others are saying, meri! ^^ Don't try to be a hero! I'm glad that it doesn't seem too bad, but I hope it doesn't turn into anything worse, y'know?

Either way, take care, alright? ^_^

*hugs from J-land!!*

Oh yeah, and before I totally forget...! That moth is utterly adoreable. :D Much love!
