Oh man I am SO stupid. I hurt myself, but good.
Normally, every day I do one hundred crunches. It's a great way to warm up in a hurry. I do them on my inflated exercise ball (so nice & comfy!) and I do 50 in a slow measured way, then 25 as quick "pulse" crunches, a pause to breathe, then 25 more quick ones. Fun!
But then yesterday I was thinking "I wonder how MANY pulse crunches I can do?" Dangerous thought! So I just started doing sets of 25...and I just kept doing them. I did eight sets and I felt fine but a little burny around the middle & I said "ok...200 is twice as many as I normally do so I better stop". About an hour later the aching started. By midnight my abs were spasming in an alarming way. All night long I was achey and miserable...every time I rolled over it felt like I'd been kicked in the ribs.
It's better today but still very hurty...you use abs for EVERYthing, you know? Sneezing, coughing, standing... Ouch. I went grocery shopping & it was an experience. Note to self; NEVER double your workout all in one day. Because I was such a wise guy yesterday I'm not doing ANY ab work today at all. So it goes...
Everyone in this house has a cold but me. It is snowing, therefor the shoveling is entirely up to me. I wonder how much it's gonna hurt?
EDIT! Hey
golden_meliades , I got your card...thank you! It's so cute & I just love the envelope.

Sometimes doing a nice warmup and then a very light workout actually helps the soreness go away.

Shoveling yesterday helped. I'm still sore though! Wow.
