This entry brought to you by the letter "B".

I received a lovely little gift in the mail today; a necklace from a friend and, in fact, it matches my favorite Batikwalla hoodie quite nicely...
 See?  It matches!

I love it...it's like a charm bracelet but it's a necklace.  Glass charms, and in my favorite colors too!   So sweet...

In other news, my ad is running on Facebook.  If you see it, don't click on it!  I'm paying per click...LOL!  It's VERY complicated but my sister set the whole thing up so she made it easy for me.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll produce some good hits...I just figured it'd be smart to advertise outside of Etsy for a change.  Advertising inside Etsy is sort of like preaching to the choir.

It's so cold here tonight!  But by this weekend we are supposed to be up to about 50 degrees which is almost good enough for a nice bike ride...almost.    Definitely good enough for a muddy dog walk anyway.   Maybe if I wear a hat & some gloves...

Well, I will say explaining the route to finding your masks & purchasing two led to a greater curiosity on Herself's part. She's now thinking about offering various items she makes via Etsy. She's used an eBay store with mild success, trying Etsy sounds like a similar plan to yours expanding outside.

I'll keep an eye for your ad on FB. I Promise Not To Click... wow, that sound really odd for some reason. *G*

Oh! Tell Herself that Etsy is perfect for selling handmade items! They kind of get lost in e-bay & there's a bit of a "bargain-hunter-flea-market" going on in e-bay that Etsy avoids. She'll have much better luck on Etsy.

If she needs any pointers or tips I'll be glad to give advice. Sadly, I'm terrible at making computer graphics so she'll have to find an icon & banner somewhere else (doing a "crop" of a picture of something she's made will suffice for the banner...I've seen people do that).

Thanks for the warning not to click--otherwise I'm sure I would have! Best of luck with the new advertising scheme. At the very least, it might generate interest as an alternative to Rachel Ray's weight loss program!

The new necklace is charming, and it does go very well with your new hoodie (course, them both being in your favorite colors I'm sure is a factor, hee).

It's definitely warming up here. Yesterday our apartment got up to 84 (!) because of the sun hitting the windows, and it was 40 outside; by Friday it is supposed to be almost 60, though I think it's supposed to cool down again over the weekend. I'm so ready for sun and warmer weather. Maybe I'll actually be able to do something outside, though it's supposed to thunderstorm both Saturday and Sunday. Maybe I'll play hookie a bit on Friday and go for a walk :)

I seem to be getting plenty of clicks! I won't really know how effective it is until tomorrow (most of my sales happen on payday)but so far...lots of interest. Scary though! It's such an investment. My Dad always said you have to spend money to make money, though, so there you go.

Ooooh! I covet your 60! We might make 50 this weekend (I'm keeping my fingers crossed). After a week in the teens even 50 sounds positively balmy.

Your apartment must get really hot in the summertime!

I know! We had temperatures in the teens not that long ago--it was brutally cold out, even after a long cold winter when we're (mostly) acclimated to cold weather. The warm weather won't stay, but we'll enjoy it while we have it :)

Our apartment is uneven. The living room, which faces south and has a large window/sliding glass door, is about 5 degrees warmer than the north facing bedroom and office. But it would get really warm in the summer if we didn't have central air, especially in the living room.

This will sound weird, but...even though you've put a picture of it, I can't tell what it looks like. I know that must sound bizarre but the picture doesn't make me understand it's 'layout'. Am I nuts? All I can say is that I don't know if I like it or not because all I can tell is that there is something turquoise hanging from a ball chain. (At first I thought it was a key with a turquoise top.)

I'm probably nuts. I do know there are two pictures, and yet...

I don't have a Facebook page any more. I did, but it has probably been removed due to inactivity since I haven't been on it in over half a year (maybe a whole year, come to think of it.) I'm sure your ad looks great, though.

I hope you get your pkg from me tomorrow. I'm disappointed because even though my pkg from Chapters shipped Tuesday night, it's not going to make it to me until Monday, because it sat on a truck for nearly two days, not actually making it into the Mississauga PO until after lunch today. Boo hoo! I wanted SB 17 for after my workout tomorrow SO MUCH. *pleur* Anyway, I'm still hoping your pkg will get to you tomorrow. If it doesn't then Airmail is NOT worth the extra couple bucks. *shrug*

It's true...the charm is much prettier in person & you really can't see the details. I need to spread it out on something black & take a picture of it in bright sunlight so you can see how adorable it is. The biggest bead is a lampwork borosilicate handmade glass bead in eggshell, turquoise and brown...my favorite colors, and SO stunning.

I don't have Facebook either. I'm already in my favorite social networking forum (here!) so why do I need another? The ad space though; it's a way to expand, for me. My ad runs on half a million pages all day for 2 weeks...can't beat that.

I'll be sure to let you know when the package arrives...I can't wait! ^_^ You do the same, ok? I mailed yours on Monday.
