Dirty dirty...because I have taken on a commission that is killing my soul. A fellow has odered, through "Rumors" (the gallery in New Orleans that carries my work), a Santa mask. Yes, as in the jolly old Christmas elf. A. Santa. Mask.
*sigh*
Of course I'm doing it...I'd be an ass to turn down a commission & the gallery would be mighty unhappy with me if I did. So it's sitting on my desk almost finished. I did almost the entire piece last night in a fit of motivated embarrassment...kind of like when you know you have food poisoning so you make yourself throw up over and over in an attempt to shorten the amount of time you have to spend in discomfort. Yeah.
Money is money, of course. We do what we have to, in order to get by. It's just...a Santa mask, after all.

Don't expect to see any pictures of THIS mask, my dears.
In other news; Mom ordered that cross country ski package for me, for my (early) christmas gift. Skis are coming to ME! Soon!! Possibly Friday (which would be great as it may actually snow again this weekend & I'll be able to try them out). I can hardly wait. All I need now is Kiba's harness equipment & I'll be all set. Whoop!
