Oh wow. I appreciate that my doc is conservative when it comes to surgery & wants the process to be as simple to recover from as possible, but honestly I'd have much preferred being knocked out altogether. It hurt...a lot. The last operation was much easier on me in many ways. Yeah, general anesthesia is scary but I felt everything today & it was pretty bad. I was stoic in the office but I started crying on the way home & by the time I got into bed I was sobbing. Poor Greg didn't know what to do for me. Kiba touched my heart though. He was beside himself with worry...he crawled into bed with me & started crying too, & pressed himself up against me & just wouldn't leave. What a good dog.
Heating pads are a godsend though...they really do help. Once the ineffectual meds that I'd been given for the procedure wore off, I was able to take the darvocet & that stuff really does work wonders. I'm much better than I was & I can actually sit here like a human being, so that's good.
I even did a little painting...good for me. ^_^
I'm tired and loopy but believe me when I say I love you guys, dear F-list. You're all very special to me. ^_^
