Life has improved.  If you're on my F-list, see below in my LJ.  If not, then, well...just trust me.  And!  In spite of a bad case of "Oh shit now what"-itis, I have managed to continue to draw new and fun things.  Inuyasha.  Pen and ink with colored pencil. 

I can't help it.  I just really like the poor kid.  He puts up with so much crap and still keeps trying.  I admire that.  He's like my totem animal...or something. 

The background was especially fun.  I used elements from Hokusai's Snowy Morning at Koishikawa, from Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji.  Mount Fuji is in the back there, behind IY.  The whole thing sort of matched the season and the mood.

And, just because it's funny...

MERIMASK:  Yeah.  I love Res, she really does romantic tension very nicely.
Skygirl51483:  seriously!  she has everyone waiting on a cliff about to fall.
MERIMASK:  I know!  I wonder why we're getting all three at once.  Res hinted that one of the chapters is really short.
Skygirl51483:  I think she's ready for this beast of a project to be over.
MERIMASK:  Well, I'm going to be sad to see it end...but I'm dying to find out what finally happens.

Skygirl51483:  Could you imagine how Sesshoumaru will feel about being trapped away for over 400 years?
MERIMASK:  He's either going to be pissed...or he'll have had enough time to think things over and come to some kind of pleasant conclusion about life in general and Kagome in particular. 
Skygirl51483:  And knowing him, he'll be bored as hell. 
MERIMASK:  You never know...Maybe he'll decide to enjoy life more, now...
MERIMASK:  And maybe monkies will fly out of his butt.

MERIMASK:  He's so sour.  :-)  *I* hope he's learned a thing or two about love.
Skygirl51483:  I know!  He needs to learn to except how things are and love while he can.
MERIMASK:  Wouldn't that be nice?  Res did say there was a happy ending.  I can't imagine life with a sour, aloof, sociopathic youkai as being "happy"...can you?  Even with the pretty hair...
MERIMASK:  All the pretty hair in the world can't make up for an all powerful being with a god complex.
Skygirl51483:  Very true.  Course...looking back on Kagome's life currently-anything half way decent will qualify as a good ending.  That poor girl. 
MERIMASK:  :-(  Aww.  I know.  She deserves a break.
Skygirl51483:  I thought my heart broke in five different places when she was in the afterlife talking with Kikyou.
MERIMASK:  I know!  And that whole scene with Inuyasha...  :::puddle of goo:::

MERIMASK:  So, karmically speaking, she's waaay overdue for a little sunshine and goodness.

MERIMASK:  She should get a free toaster and a lifetime supply of Pop Tarts too.

Aaaah! I love her! That's so pretty and SO charming... She's just adorable. :-) You really captured her spirit, she looks just the way a sweet-natured teenage girl in love should look. :::smooches Kagome:::

Les Saisons with the girls sounds like a simply awesome idea. Will you do Sango in her demon-slayer get up, or her traditional "peasant girl" garb? :::is curious::: Please share when you're done, I'm just mad about your work as it is and I'm sure you'll do something amazing.

Thankees hon! That is by far the BEST Kagome I've EVER done. XD

Probably Sango's kimono...she'll be Summer, Kagura - autumn, Kikyou - winter. I'll definitely be posting them as each is finished, but as to whether I'll merge them all into one piece in the end or not is still up in the air.
