I just went on the BUGGIEST bike ride ever. SO many bugs. It was like an infestation of fruit flies or something, or maybe they were migrating? 80 degrees with 85% humidity and no wind, so every one of those suckers were sticking to me 'cause I was sticky!! A couple hit the jackpot and went up my nose, and I think a handful of them were camping out in my sport bra...at least that's what I thought when I went to take my shower. Eww! Grr! Anyway, it was gross.
So I'm sitting here trying to recover, eating hommus and pita chips. I'll pay later, 'cause garlic does bad things to my body, but for right now all things are good and crunchy and bug-free. *sigh*
My sister and her boyfriend flew back to Daytona Beach today. Just in time for a hurricane, maybe! What luck. Anyway, like I've said before, she and I have a deep-seated love of all things badly translated and Asian. In the past I've sent these things to her, among other stuff:

It's not bad at first glance...but if you read the directions you'll see that these tattoos are in fact "Faffoos". Later they become "fattoos". Which is even funnier. I guess the lowercase "t" and "f" look awfully similar to the Chinese manufacturers who made these things. It cracks us up every time.
So today before she left, Nancy gifted me with this:

Benign Girl Super Telephone!! Beautiful girl press any button! Oh man, that's the best Engrish toy I've ever seen. When you press the buttons it SCREECHES at you unintelligibly...totally hilarious. It's going on my shelf of many honor, next to the faffoos and the Happy Bus ("I have come to here to give your good luck! I love you to distraction my precious one!").
Oh, too funny. :-)
And! I'd better share this fanart while it's still topical...before Takahashi kills/resurrects anyone else or something like that. It's still in my sketchbook (note the spiral binder) so you KNOW it's fresh!
Poor Rin! Waaah! Sess broke his little girl!
That's enough randomness for one day. My leather finally came yesterday and I have no excuse for not working (except for my own exquisite sense of ennui)...I'm such a malcontent!
Oh! And moko_moko is in town this week! We'll be getting together for lunch, hopefully (I already know where to take her...fun little microbrewery/bistro. She's gonna love it!!).

Ahh, yes. *sigh* I wish I could really care about this whole Rin thing..... Had Takahashi finished out with Kagome and Inuyasha before moving on to this sesshie arc, I'd really care a lot more. But for some reason, I was just so upset about the lack of closure after Kikyou's final demise, that I find I'm having a hard time caring about this whole situation as much as I feel I should.
I'm a bad fan. XD I really love his expression. (Heee, and maybe my Darkness piece will do well next weekend. XD
But it's a lovely drawing.

The whole "Sess goes to hell to save Rin" arc is so terribly OOC for him, in my opinion. I can't help liking it though because I've been waiting and hoping that something would shake Sess out of his arrogant complacency. It's funny though; I used to think Sess's internal dialog of "..." was because his thoughts were enigmatic and lofty and unknowable. Now I'm beginning to suspect (because we saw so MUCH of his sappy internal dialog last week) that he's been a brainless twinkie all along! Not a thought in his head! ;-) Until now, that it. I think I liked him better when I thought he was deep.
Yeah what IS happening with IY/Kag?? Not much resolution there. It would have been nice if IY could have let the poor girl off the hook re: "saving" Kikyo.

Yeah, I have to agree with you on Sesshie here....very OOC (and all the bad fanfic writers rejoice that their horrid depicitions of Sesshie are now in character XD) while it's nice to see a *little* emotion out of him, I think this is a little more than *little*.

btw, I LOVE Hummus. The red pepper flavor is sooo good.
Eek, I hate bugs that stick to your skin! Reminds me of James River. We went swimming and came out of the river with random fly-like bugs on our flesh. Eeek.
Benign girl... rofl

Benign Girl is SO funny. They must have had a thesaurus and somewhere in there under synonyms for "nice" was "benign" so they went with it. *snort* I wonder if there's a "Malignant Girl" Super Telephone floating around out there in Engrish Toy Hell somewhere?

-Not included is a rather useless Tenseiga or snarky SessMom.
