Okay, here's how big a geek I am.  I'm playing Okami, and in the middle of a battle with a fox-faced demon I paused the screen to do a sketch for a mask.   It's a neat variation of the traditional Kyogen kitsune masks (one of which I made for [profile] moko_moko because she gave me the idea).  I just used my old pattern, but carved different designs.

Anyway I just finished carving them and boy are they cute!  I am a huge freakity McGeekburger, and that's a fact.

*sigh*

Ok, back to work.  I made myself a promise that I'd fit a solid night of work into my schedule,  which is SO freakin' hard because I just reached Oni Island and OMG I have a ton of stuff to do there.

Question;  Are gamer freaks considered "geeks" or "nerds"?   'Cause really I think I'm more of a nerd than a geek.  Hmm.  Semantics.

Also the weather here is crappy.  CRAPPY!   It's supposed to snow tomorrow.  SNOW!   Right now at about midnight-thirty it's almost 65 degrees out there and by the morning we'll be in the mid-thirties.  There's lightning and rain all over the place tonight.  What a mess!  I'm not ready for the white stuff yet.

I've always believed the traditional term is "gamer geek." It has better word feel in the mouth. But that doesn't fit you. We'll have to think about it.

Ahh, October in upstate NY. Reminds me of my childhood in Herkimer, wearing a snowsuit under the Halloween costume.

The boiler was cleaned, inspected, and is now under service contract, so that worry is dealt with. We have a new phone number (live on Saturday), the cable gets hooked up on Sunday (can't be without the History Channel), and the truck is rented for Saturday to move the big stuff. So of course I threw my back out. Regardless - Saturday night we'll be in the new house. Us and the cats. I don't expect to see them for a week.

Hee! Yep we always had to bundle up underneath the costumes when we were kids, too. The idea of a pretty, sexy Halloween costume was utterly alien to me until I became an adult. Even as teens we were always thickly-wrapped kitties or ghosts.

Well I'm glad the boiler issue is solved. This stuff...it's not easy eh? I thought buying a house was supposed to be fun? Mt first house was fun, but I was 23 and it was all so exciting then. I miss that old barn. :-/

We're closing tomorrow, by the way! For sure this time. It's not as hectic as what you're going through because, heh, we're already here.

Hope your kitties like their new home. When we first moved in here about...eight years ago??...my Claudia wedged herself into a crawlspace for three days and we thought she got out and we put up posters everywhere. I guess they just have to freak a little and then they're ok with it. Cats are so strange!
