New masks!

Okay, normally when I take an order for custom colors on one of my masks, I cringe.  But this one turned out kinda pretty.

Just gray and white, she said.  It's stark but I like it!

Also, I made a mask of the fox-demon-lady in Okami.  It's just a variation on my existing Kyogen theater Kitsune mask but I like it better.  Drama!

I did it in black too, just to see what it'd look like.

Cute!

Still working on Ammy.  I'm making a few 'cause I think they'll be HUGE at Icon this year.

Yep! I have them all laid out on my workdesk, drying. The white is a pain in the ass as it stays tacky a long time and it takes 3 or 4 coats to cover well...but at least that part is done. I jazzed up her face by adding some extra design elements; those wing patterns from her shoulders. It's all swirly and Japanese-looking and neat! *can't wait to share!!*

OH god, I've been working nonstop all week and I haven't slept and I'ma ready to stab random pedestrians on the street but then I check my flist and see these gems and EVERYTHING IS OKAY NOW! These are so freaking gorgeous, and even moreso because the high of that game will never, ever, get old.

And random question, but how much would you part with the white and grey Rao one for? I got invited to a masquerade New Years thing and am quite keen on playing several foxes throughout the night :3

That game is so much fun, and so pretty and sweet that some parts of it make me misty. I especially love the Kamiki village festival music, after you kick Orochi's ass the first time. It's so freaking happy and CUTE!! Also, every time I clean up an area and make it all bloom like crazy because the sapling's healthy again...I just get all *waah! sniffle!* when they play that awesome "everything's blooming!" music with the wolf howling. When you do good things in that game, the payoff is all beautiful and gratifying, isn't it?. I finished it once and am playing it again with an eye towards getting 100% completion. Just to see what happens. :-)

Hmm...You want a grey and white Rao mask? I'm selling those for 60.00, I think (the carving is simple)...but it's so close in design to the one you already have, isn't it? Wait 'til you see the Ammy mask. You might just like that one better.

Yeah, the music is fanTAStic! I downloaded the entire soundtrack if you're interested ^_~ Haha, I'm playing it again as well just to get all teh lost beads. I missed 20 last time around and am desperate to see what kind of awesome thing you get in the end, I'm betting it's immortality or some kind of power boost. Dang, after that then, it'd only make sense to have to play it ~again~ This game is just covered with win, everything about it blows my mind and makes me so giggly and happy. It's the best pick-me-up after a bad day, isn't it?

Oooh, curse you and your tempting creations! It's just that each one is so cool that they cry out "you love me too!" Are you doing in-game Ammy or 100 years ago Ammy? (how cool was going back in time and meeting youself, btw? Lots? O yes!)

Hee! I'm doing traditional in-game Ammy first, though I'm thinking I'll have to try doing vintage-version Ammy as well. Actually the red markings on that Ammy are so busy, I might just do it as one of my big Stormwolf masks. That'd be a lot of work but really really dramatic.

The Ammy masks are looking awesome but coming slowly because the red is SO temperamental. I want it to dry overnight before I do the gray and the black. I jazzed it up...rather than just doing a plain wolf face I added those "wing" elements to the sides and did the insides of the ears with that same swirly wing detail. Fun fun! But I'm going to have to finish tomorrow 'cause I'm SICK again and my cold meds are making me loopy. Waah. I have a head fulla goo. *pout*

In-game Ammy will look so cool! That circle mark on her head was just way too cute. And the wings sound so fabulous, it's awesome that you found to a way to incorperate them. *bounces*

And what is it about red paint? Wall paint, oils, acrylics...they always love to make life difficult. Good luck with it tomorrow, but more importantly, get lots of rest and feel better soon! *hugs*
