Okay! I've been wanting to do this for a while. I had an idea some time back for a really simple, nice, friendly meme. Sort of in response to a kind of nasty meme that was going around (well, not inherently nasty, but that's how some people were using it) .
I just thought, since it was the New Year and all, that a pleasant meme about your LJ Friends-list would be something appropriate and fun. I hate it when people are ambiguous about their friends and how they affect their lives. I think if you have good people around you, you should let them know with actions and words how you feel about them. So!
...and that's about it! You're all very special to me. I'm not going to assign this to anyone, but if you saw yourself here then please try to take some time out of your day to tell your f-list why you like them, I think it's something worth talking about.
Have a safe and happy new year. Hangovers are caused MOSTLY by dehydration...if you drink, be sure to drink lots of water too (it'll cut down on the yuk factor the next day), and DON'T DRIVE!

List the people on your f-list that you interact the most with, and say something about each one of them. You can do as many or as few as you like, but the criteria is that you must post replies or receive replies from these people regularly. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. This is about letting your friends know how much you appreciate them. These people ended up on your F-list for a reason...let them know why!

a_hollow_year...You introduced me to LJ, and your vibrant entries were initially the template for my own. I appreciate your wit, your candid sense of humor, your intelligence, and your impeccable vocabulary. You write like someone twice your age...your wisdom about so many things makes me smile and your pain makes me ache for you, sometimes. I wish we could be friends irl.
aoi_tsuki1... Your entries are often funny, and your LJ is a window into your complex, quirky little brain. :-) I think you're so incredibly bright, and it's always fun to see what you are up to.

geirny ... You're one of the few people on my LJ that know me irl! That's so cool. You keep me honest, and I am very flattered that you and Howie think enough of me (and my funny ramblings) to actually tune into my LJ and see what's going on in my head. Whenever we get together, we always have fun and we NEVER run out of stuff to talk about (it's a rare talent). I'm glad we're friends.
golden_meliades... I think of you as a friend irl, even though we've never met, because I feel like I've really come to know who you are. You share so much of your self and I always enjoy reading your thoughts. Your opinion is one that I really respect, and I always look forward to your input on any given subject. We're very different irl (in fact in some ways, we're polar opposites), but for some reason that doesn't seem to matter...we're in tune anyway. :-)
moko_moko... Your talent amazes me, and meeting you in person was in many ways the coolest thing I did last year. You're so much fun to hang with, and you're one of my little sisters. At the same time, you're a peer, because I see you going so FAR with that prodigious artistic ability of yours. I show your DA site to everyone I know, and I'm proud to call you a friend.

I think you're so brave for living the life you live, where you live it, doing what you do. So many people want things for themselves but never have the courage to go get those things, but not you. Yay for meme happiness. :-) I think it's a good idea to spread the love around. Sitting down and actually taking the time to write about your friends helps you to really focus on the good things in life, imo.

There's so much I admire about you, too, from your talent to... well, the person you are. You really are one of the sweetest people I've got a chance to know online, and I really thank you for always being such a wonderful person to talk to and chat with.
And I truly have to tell you how much I admire the last few months when you mentioned what was happening with your daughter and her friend. I really wanted to respond to your entry but it always felt to inadequate, but I just have to say that your attitude and the kind of concern you showed for the situation was really very inspiring to read and think about. And I really admire you for it. :)
