An excerpt from an actual conversation I had with Greg yesterday:
Me: *upon receiving a rare bouquet of flowers from my husband* "Wow! Umm...what are these for?"
Him: "Because you've been good."
Me: *referring to his promotion, which will have him up in Toronto overnight several times in the coming weeks* "Are you sure these aren't 'goodwill insurance' flowers for when you start cheating on me?"
Him: "Maybe I've already cheated and these are 'guilt flowers'!"
Me: *referring to the fact that the flowers are carnations* "Naaah...'guilt flowers' are grand. Like roses or stargazers."
Him: "Maybe I'm not that sorry."
Yeah, he thinks he's SO funny. ;-)
In other news it SNOWED like crazy around here last night, sort of. Two feet of snow just to the south of where we live, almost a foot up north of where we live. But right here...only about 2 inches fell. Enough to pretty-up the snow we already had but not enough to shovel. Maybe I'll make a trip back to Angola tomorrow so Kiba can jump around in two feet of snow (i've never seen that!).
I'm working on some cute little masks. Nothing amazing (to me); they're just little half masks with dragons on 'em (I draw them freehand so each one is unique...but they really only take a short time to make so I sell them pretty cheap). I'm doing them in really bright colors though, this time. Usually they're black with brightly colored dragons, but this time I'm making the dragons white & gold & silver, and the masks are bright solid colors like red and blue. I think they're kind of neat! I've been working in bright colors lately...it's refreshing.
I'll take pictures later, when they're dry.

She buys a lot of masks :)
Did you ever think of trying to get into the Vancouver market? There's a large gay community, and a lot of theatric communities arond there. I can't help but think you'd be a big hit.

Selling to Canada is remarkably difficult because of the US/Canada "thing"...NAFTA actually makes it really difficult to do business up there. Part of my epic difficulty with Cirque was that the contract had me paying all the broker fees which were pretty large, if you're shipping large quantities of US manufactured stuff up there.
Of course it's something I'm willing to look into if I'm compensated for the extra cost of doing business up there. But then, most Canadian concerns only buy from Canadians (when it comes to art) anyway so...you see...difficult. :-/

And why is everyone and their mother getting snow?! I WANT SOME! New York and Jersey got hammered and we got...nothin'. Nothing but 30 degree sunny days T__T Can't wait to see dragon mask photos. I hope that after you take your site down you'll have some sort of image gallery to show off all your work, even if you're not selling anymore, because I love showing off your work to my friends :)

I'm liking the snow, but it's coming along with some crazy cold temps that are just unbearable. On Saturday, the HIGH for the day is *drumroll* 8! The low is considerably less than 8. I will be right here in my warm house, thank you.
I should have some kind of site...probably a showcase site. My sister said she'd build one for me. I want it to be pretty and really updateable with moving pictures and music and other cool stuff. :-)

Wah, I want deep snow! We got two feet here one time when I was little. I made houses for the dogs. XD

We used to get REALLY deep snow more often. Kiba's two years old and his winters have been unremarkable. That's why I'm thinking of taking him on a "field trip" to the really deep snow (there are some areas that, by now, have almost three feet!). It'll be fun to see what he does (I predict a lot of silly leaping and pouncing...in autumn he seeks out our biggest leaf piles to romp in because he thinks it's funny).

The last time it put a little ice down (about a week ago) I grabbed a sled and went flying down the hill in my pajamas. XD
