Well!  Today started crappy & got significantly better.  All of those packets were a bust...all four.   Took the wind out of my sails & made me feel pretty sad.  But THEN, I got a call from Rumors...the mask gallery in New Orleans.  They were a bit late getting an order to me but boy, what an awesome first order.

And now I'm in trouble, 'cause if I fill it right away, I'll have just about NO masks for Pennsic.  But, I don't want them to wait because being lazy or slow about getting your first order out, well...that can't make for a good first impression.

So.  I'm working like CRAZY right now.  The heck with charity events.  The heck with showering or eating, for that matter.  *joke*  Seriously though, I thought I was doing great budgeting my time left before Pennsic to finish up important projects & suddenly I'm going to be very freaking busy.  But, like my brother said, these are GOOD problems to have.

By the way, kids.  If there was to be, say, an opening of my work at said gallery, with wine & cheese & jazz in the heart of the French Quarter...you think any of you might show up?  ;-D

Remember what I said about explaining gallery prices to scadians instead of explaining the SCA to galleries?

Fill the order.

The gallery is guaranteed money. Pennsic is always iffy depending on the price of gas, the general economy, the *weather*, etc., etc. If you hold stuff back for Pennsic, and then no one is buying - I just know that you'll gnaw out your liver. It's not like you'll be losing sales - worst case scenario is that you won't be able to make them twice.

By the way, if it's not done feel free to put my dragon on the back burner. She'll be ready for me whenever - make stuff to sell to other people!

If there were a real honest-to-god gallery opening in New Orleans and I could get a decent fare on Southwest - we'd show up.

I'm filling the order...you're right & it's certainly the smart thing to do. It'll still take time because they want a Medusa and I don't have one. I'm still working on your plaque and it WILL be finished even if it kills me (which it won't). :-) The dragon's already done...it's just the leaves that are slowing me down. It's going to be pretty cool though...pics just as soon as I have it all assembled!

I haven't seen a Medusa in a long time. They're really, really cool, but I seem to remember you saying that they're an awful lot of work.

Can't wait for the pics. And to be honest, I'm also looking forward to sitting at your booth and gloating over ownership! Small and petty of me, I know, but I'm like that...

Oh snap, those really are problems people should DREAM of having. But still, don't kill yourself by working too too hard :3

If you had an opening, I would try my damndest to drag a buddy down there to see it.

Hee! I know. I'm just stressed because I always do my best & that takes time...& I don't have any time.

OMG if I DO get an opening I swear it'd be just about the neatest thing ever. My first big-time gallery opening...in New Orleans! How perfect is THAT? :-D

Babe, have a gallery opening on the weekend and I will so be there. A 13 hr drive is nada. Whoo hoo!

Fill that order girly!! That shop owner will love ya and bring you down here.

That's how I see it too. I have to be better & faster than everyone else. Timing sucks though! That's my own fault...I just had no idea they'd want so many of my HUGE masks. Still, very cool. :-)

I would if I was anywhere in the same, uhm COUNTRY?? as you... lol

Good for you though honey!! That's awesomeness plus! And definitely good problems to have. I want to be too busy with my business as well with customers *intends* :))))

*love* :)))))

Love from the Angel

Heh! Yeah, it's stressful but good news just the same. I'm so busy, but it's feeling like a good kind of busy (instead of the kind that's meant to keep you distracted).
