Hey neato...I just got myself a fun little virtual art gallery site at PaperDemon!    Go look.

I've been wanting to do a Deviant Art site for awhile now, but lately some of the flap over fanart has really turned me off to the idea.   I guess PaperDemon is a little more user friendly.   I have to thank paynesgrey for putting the link up in her LJ.   It was a HECK of a lot easier to set up an account there, at any rate.  I've tried twice to set up a DevArt account with no luck.  Probably serendipity, that.

I only have a few things in there, so far.   I suppose it's all stuff you've seen before.  Still, it's nice to have it in a new, pretty forum.  I'm going to do a mix of my masks and my fanart in there...just 'cause I can.

Fun fun!  Wolf plaque is nearly done, by the way.   I should be working & not noodling around in here/on my new site...but I'm rewarding my diligent work by giving myself permission to slack off a bit.  Makes no sense, but there it is.

Love the colours on that site...absolutely love them. It's both Celtic-y and dryad-y at the same time...and Celtic/Irish is my favourite of any culture and dryads have to be my favourite of all Fae. :)

I suppose the dude at the bottom is the paper demon? He doesn't LOOK like he's made of paper. :)

Isn't it a pretty site? That's just the default setting you get for free...I can't imagine what the paid site might look like.

I guess he IS the Paper Demon...kinda cute! There are a few really lovely pieces floating around in there. Seems to be a lot of girls drawing really good-looking guys with stupid pretty hair.

Wow. You know, I haven't seen a super close-up of the Celestial Dragon mask, and with the size of the image on the gallery suddenly I was able to see the absolute GORGEOUSNESS of the scales! Dude! *worships* You're so incredibly awesome, you know that?? ^_____^

As for DA.... meh, I'm actually pretty sure that the hoopla is going to die down after a little while but eh, they're barely worth it. I only stay on there becuase I've been on there for so long and it would just seem like a waste to never go back -- I just go there to look at things now. Once I started realizing that every time I was thinking of posting art there, the first thing through my mind was, "So is this going to get ripped into bootlegs?" Or "So how long will it be before some wanker tells me I'm stealing someone's artwork?" then I realized the place wasn't really worth posting at anymore. XP

Hee! Yes visit often! I wish you'd join...I loved your DA gallery, but the new specs for fanart there seems simply CRAZY to me & very restrictive. It'd be fun to trade art secrets with ya. That's really the main reason I wanted to join DA in the first place...to befriend all the artists whose work I loved so much (fortunately a lot of you guys are here in LJ too).

It's such a small little NEW forum over at PD, I'm sure no one would dare steal your stuff there. It's so easy to keep track of who is doing what work, 'cause there just don't seem to be that many users. I never see more than 20 or so on at one time.

Don't think of it as slacking off -- think of it as a way to have fun while doing a little bit of self-promotion at the same time! I'm glad to see it because everyone I show pictures of the stuff you've made me oohs and ahhs over it, and now I can point them at more samples somewhere that's a little easier for casual browsers to navigate than old LJ posts. :D

Where did you find those great little tuna/crackers things you had at I-Con? I want a mess of those for Pennsic. I don't care if they're expensive if it keeps me from falling over.

We're just about packed. Right about now, I'm missing the easy days of camping in nylon. First rainstorm and I'll remember why I haul and maintain 105 lbs of canvas.
