Still making things. I was waiting for more leather to get here (I'm all out of cow) so while I was waiting I made a bunch of little things, including this koi pin.
I thought I'd try something different & made it in sepia tones; red ochre and black on a neutral leather fish. Up in Etsy of course.
I also got a wonderful gift in the mail from my friend Elsie. It's a vintage-looking butterfly cameo necklace and I love it!
It even goes with the silly frumpy sweatshirt I'm wearing today...thank you Elsie! *hug*
I was in a great mood but then, Charlotte came home from school. She's taking an advanced photography class & today, someone stole her camera right out of her locked locker. It wasn't actually her camera; it belonged to my father. An extremely valuable Nikon with all the bells & whistles...worth over $1000. I am livid & heartbroken.
Seriously...no words.

It always makes me mad that people think nothing of taking property that isn't theirs. Either you work hard for things or they were given to you and have special meaning. It's a very violated feeling you get when things are taken from you. I do hope you are able to get the camera back.

I'd guess pawn shops are obsolete in a time when stuff can be sold on E-bay or Craig's List. It's really very gone. :-(
Our only recourse is a law suit, I think.
