...are pretty this year.

That's a christmas fairy my good friend Tricia sent to me this year.  She also sent a big THING of the most awesome homemade fudge ever.   It's simply delicious!

Another Christmas fairy...

She carries a yellow lily and is made of porcelain and paper...a gift to Charlotte from some relative.

You can see the tree is full of so many things; a hodgepodge of handmade ornaments, gifts, candy, ribbons, streamers, beads...I like an interesting tree.  Another frasier fir this year.  I love them 'cause they smell just wonderful and the needles don't hurt.

We are still full of snow but a short thaw is coming.  No fear of all of it going away though...we have a definite snow surplus this Christmas.

I hope you are all safely wherever you need to be this year, and ready to enjoy the season.  Merry Krippits!

Found her on a tree of angels and fairies but she stood out. Think it was the red hair! Glad you like her.

She's perfect for my tree! I love the way her gown ends in a swirl...reminds me of a seashell.

Your ornaments are lovely. We have a lot of handmade ornaments on our tree, many of them made by my mom and my grandmothers, and I love them.

Stay warm and safe this season! I hope that the weather is better than forecasted for here--here we're to get snow, freezing rain, rain, more freezing rain, and then snow showers. We're supposed to be on the road a lot the next few days--I already missed on seeing one out of state friend because of bad roads--so I'm really hoping for better driving conditions!

And if all that rain and ugly weather gets rid of our snow on Christmas eve, I may well cry. After the past week or two, I think we deserve a white Christmas, dang it! We have a lot of snow though.

Hmmm. No fudge here, but DB made homemade applesauce and it's divine.

Thank you...I love our ornaments too. It's a very eclectic christmas tree.

I am getting the exact same weather. It's snowing pretty hard right now but it's already getting warmer & soon that snow will turn to rain, and then we'll have a mess on our hands. Back & forth between freezing rain & snow for the next week. *sigh* I'm pretty sure there will still be snow for Christmas though...there's quite a lot of it.

Please be careful on the roads! Bring a charged cell phone & your AAA card with you at all times.

Eclectic is a good thing.

This cold rain/freezing rain/snow blend is the pits. :(

We have cell phones and AAA card--and hopefully neither will be necessary.

Krippits sound like something to eat.

Looks like your weather is a few weeks behind ours...we had a fair thaw a week or two ago and it went down maybe half a foot...but that really didn't clear things up :) (It was plus ten! Geez, that should not be happening in mid December, it was freaky. Especially when there was already SO MUCH snow on the ground.)

We're supposed to get more tonight. Lots more. This seems to be the year of never ending snow. I know we had that huge storm last year that dropped two feet in a couple of hours, but this year it's constant. I'm afraid by March we may not be able to see out our windows or open our doors.

I'll be gettin' out my flamethrower...

heh..."Merry Krippits" is something I used to say when I was really little, & for some reason the whole family thought it was cute so we all say it. Nothing like baby-talk 43 years after the fact to keep you humble. ;-)

We are having one messy winter this year. You always get more snow than I do but it sounds like it started really early for you this year. Hopefully we'll both have a mild spring to make up for it. I am still able to handle snowstorms in December, but late February storms make me want to cry.

Hey, you...don't forget to send me one of your dad's recipes to see if I can translate it. :)

If you can make it a recipe you remember the taste/smell/etc of, that'd be best of all...then you can try it after I translate it and see if, in addition to making sense, it makes the recipe you remember. I'm pretty sure I won't have that much trouble with French, but there ARE some pretty odd words to describe cooking techniques...especially if the recipes are fancy.

ooh, pretty tree. Tricia's fairy is beautiful. I also like the bunny ornament next to her. Have a great Christmas, and here's hoping the weather improves for you soon. snowy

Hi Snowy! ^_^ Yeah I love Tricia's fairy too...it's so cute. That bunny is one of the ornaments I made; a plaster cast ornament that I poured & painted when I was about 15...Char's age in fact! Even back then I was always making stuff...

Merry Christmas to you too!
