...are pretty this year.

That's a christmas fairy my good friend Tricia sent to me this year. She also sent a big THING of the most awesome homemade fudge ever. It's simply delicious!
Another Christmas fairy...

She carries a yellow lily and is made of porcelain and paper...a gift to Charlotte from some relative.
You can see the tree is full of so many things; a hodgepodge of handmade ornaments, gifts, candy, ribbons, streamers, beads...I like an interesting tree. Another frasier fir this year. I love them 'cause they smell just wonderful and the needles don't hurt.
We are still full of snow but a short thaw is coming. No fear of all of it going away though...we have a definite snow surplus this Christmas.
I hope you are all safely wherever you need to be this year, and ready to enjoy the season. Merry Krippits!

If you can make it a recipe you remember the taste/smell/etc of, that'd be best of all...then you can try it after I translate it and see if, in addition to making sense, it makes the recipe you remember. I'm pretty sure I won't have that much trouble with French, but there ARE some pretty odd words to describe cooking techniques...especially if the recipes are fancy.
